Medved's column is a discussion of the CNN poll which
declared loudly that NO republican candidate has a chance to beat the
democrats. Sounds like he agrees.
Nine comments down, Sgt. Relic poses the question, "Anybody notice that
Thompson wasn't included in the poll despite having a 13% poll number? Coincidence?” He got
no response.
Except from his supporters, here's all that’s been said
about Fred Thompson:
"Fred is great, but he will never make it. He just
doesn't have the charisma needed to go up against either Obama or
Clinton."
"Fred is great and I love the guy, but he has not
caught on with GOP voters (at least yet) so it is hard to see him very
competative against the Dems."
"...and EVEN ([my emphasis] Fred Thompson."
"I would love to see Fred be our next president but my
ONLY concern with him is whether or not he can withstand the onslaught from the
MSM and the DNC spin machine."
Onslaught? WHAT
onslaught?! "Onslaught" would be a vast improvement over the tactic
the MSM are currently using. They treat
him as if he doesn't exist. This has obviously been working well for them as
demonstrated by the media parroting I see here.
Charisma? I guess that depends on how you define it. If you'd watched Thompson on Hannity and
Colmes following the most recent debate, you'd have been treated to the sight
of him handing the weasely Alan his lunch, then patting him on the knee
afterwards! If you'd watched the Iowa
debate, you'd have seen that he was the only one to stand up to the
lib-pandering moderator who tried to insist on a "show of hands"
regarding global warming hype. No question at all whether he can withstand
any attack or spin that comes at him.
Don't let the "drive-by media" cheat you out of
seeing the dynamic Senator Thompson in action.
You're missing out on the best chance the Republican party has had in a
very long time to make mince-meat out of the liberals!
